Austin's Moonlight Towers is an 8-page zine that explains the history of the city's most historical landmarks. Inside, readers can learn interesting facts and popular myths centered around the structures. I created The Austin Moonlight Towers because of my high regard for history and love for my hometown. The Moonlight Towers were built and installed in 1894 to provide the city with its very first lighting system, these are the last structures of their kind to be found anywhere in the world.
Interestingly enough, many Austinites, have passed by these magnificent structures without knowing what they are or the history they hold. This small publication is meant to serve as a small guide to Austin’s Moonlight Towers and to illuminate a unique part of the city’s history.
